‘normal Behaviour’ is now a catchall for All of our Interests and offerings!

Custom Leather Work
With 9 years in leather production, and two robust collections, I’m confident we can make whatever it is your need. From bags to wallets, sword scabbards to ceremonial pipe organizers, let’s see what we can dream up together.

Visual Design Work
Specializing and brand identity and conceptual driven design. Also skilled in visual design, and even some web, I would consider Adobe Creative Suite one of my best friends, but the one that always wants to go to fancy restaurants and then runs to the bathroom when the check shows up.

Interdisciplinary Art Work
It all began for me in conceptually driven art. I have a background in fine art, and would call myself a sculptor if not for it’s common connotation towards chiseling marble and forming clay. Occasionally, I show my work in the USA and Canada. Sometimes, it’s even for sale.
Prideful Moments
In-Person Events
One of our great joys over the years has been getting to meet other fans of ‘normal’ and connecting with other humans on our love of practicality, functionality and bold yellows.
Art RESIDENCIES
Spending dedicated time on art making is quite a luxury and we’ve been lucky enough to travel to several locations to generate full bodies of work in mere weeks.
Brand Design
It’s concept meets clarity, and a true passion we’ve discovered in ourselves since beginning normal Behaviour.

About
normal Behaviour has grown from a small line of leather goods in 2017 into a small production design studio that spans from a wide world of 3D objects to 2D and digital design.
Heather Van Winckle is a visual artist, sculptor and the lead designer of normal Behaviour. She is passionate about problem-solving and practicality, and her designs are a reflection of her values.
“Making physical things is a deeply rewarding process as a designer, and allows for direct innovation and refinement of our ideas and processes. It helps us reduce our waste in the long run and make thoughtful choices for the future.”
